The wedding being called off is an excellent thing in and of itself but I would just like to mention that if they DID go through with it, it would have been the height of hypocrisy considering the time they didn’t let Kate Kane get married to Maggie Sawyer because “heroes can’t be happy”

so that’s one major PR disaster DC managed to avoid there, good job

GUYS GUYS WE’VE BEEN SAVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because of you, I decided to buy a copy of Batman Inferno and started reading it today. I’m around 12 chapters in and I am loving it. Thank you, if it wasn’t for you I probably wouldn’t have found this gem. (I also got another Alex Irvine book that’s a prequel to Arkham Knight with the Riddler as the main villain, and if Inferno is anything to go by, I’m guessing that’s gonne be awesome too) – again, thank you for recommending it.

GASP YES THAT’S EXCELLENT THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME KNOW, I get so excited whenever anyone reads the book! I will forever mourn the fact that it’s not well-known because it IS seriously one of the top best published Batman contents out there, with LOTS to unpack on so many different delightful levels

it was the thing that finally showed me how to make the character of Batman make sense

and its Joker is peak delight and blends humor and menace and camp (and mental illness!) so seamlessly

I haven’t read the Arkham Knight novel but I’m praying that Alex Irvine actually gets to write a Batman comic one of these days, and that we get some sort of adaptation of Inferno that will promote it to wider audiences (a pipe dream though it is)
